1. Who we are
KEKOZ is published by Kani Summit, a non profit association governed by Articles 60 and following of the Swiss Civil Code, with its registered office at Chemin d’Eysin 20, 1260 Nyon, canton of Vaud, Switzerland.
Kani Summit is the data controller for the limited processing described below.

2. Our core principle: your data stays on your device
KEKOZ is built to work without an account. You do not create a profile, you do not give us your name, your email address or your phone number to use the app. Everything you track in KEKOZ is stored locally on your device, in your browser’s local storage or in the app’s local storage. It is not uploaded to our servers, it is not backed up by us, and we cannot read it.
This includes: your habits, your daily check ins, your streaks, your progression, your scores, your goals, your Kakeibo entries, your notes and your KEKOZ Coach conversation history.
If you delete the app or clear your browser data, this information disappears. We have no copy of it.
3. What our servers do receive
A small number of features require a server. Here is the complete list.
Player versus player duels.
When you create or join a duel, our server stores the duel code, the type of challenge, its duration and the scores submitted by each participant. It also stores the nickname you choose for that duel. Choose a nickname that does not identify you if you prefer to stay anonymous.
Feedback.
If you answer the in app satisfaction survey, we store your score from 0 to 10 and the free text comments you write. Comments written in a language other than English are automatically translated into English so we can read them. Your comment is stored with a date, not with an identity.

Technical logs.
Our server keeps minimal error logs. Your IP address is used only to apply rate limiting, to protect the service from abuse, and is not used to build a profile.
Website analytics.
The website kekoz.ch uses Umami, a cookieless analytics tool that counts page views without tracking individuals across sites.
4. KEKOZ Coach
KEKOZ Coach generates motivational messages using an artificial intelligence model provided by Anthropic PBC, United States.
What is sent: aggregated, anonymous statistics only. For example: number of habits completed this week, current streak length, activity categories. No name, no email address, no account identifier and no free text about your private life is attached.
What is not sent: your identity, your device identifier and your conversation history. Where your history lives: your exchanges with the Coach are stored on your device only. We do not keep them on our servers.

7. Deleting your data
In the app:
Go to Settings, then “Delete my data”. This erases everything stored on your device, immediately and irreversibly.
On our servers:
write to contact@kekoz.ch and we will delete the duels and feedback linked to your device within thirty days.
Strava:
Revoke KEKOZ’s access from your Strava account settings, which stops any further transfer.
8. Legal basis for processing
Under the European General Data Protection Regulation and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, we rely on:

For duels, the Strava connection and KEKOZ Coach, since these are features you actively request. Legitimate interest, for technical logs, rate limiting and aggregate analytics, in order to keep the service running and secure. Consent, for feedback, which you are free to give or not.
9. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to correct it, to have it deleted, to receive it in a portable format, to restrict its processing and to object to it. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
To exercise these rights, write to contact@kekoz.ch. We reply within thirty days. Given our architecture, most of your data is already in your hands: it is on your device, and you can delete it yourself at any time.
If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, or with the supervisory authority of your country of residence in the European Union.
10. Minors
KEKOZ is not intended for people under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data relating to a minor under 16. If you believe that a minor has used the app, write to contact@kekoz.ch and we will delete the corresponding data.
11. Security
Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS. Access to our servers is restricted. Since the bulk of your data never leaves your device, the exposure in the event of a server incident stays minimal by design.
12. Changes
Any substantial change to this policy will be announced in the app and on kekoz.ch, with a new version number and a new date.

By downloading, installing or using KEKOZ, you accept these terms in full. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
2. What Kekoz is
KEKOZ is a habit tracking and personal development application. It lets you record your daily habits, follow your progress, challenge other users in duels, connect a Strava account and receive motivational messages from KEKOZ Coach.
The app is provided free of charge. Kani Summit uses any revenue generated to fund free wellbeing seminars held outdoors.
3. Eligibility
KEKOZ is not intended for users under the age of 16. By using the app you confirm that you are at least 16 years old.
4. Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. Content that is offensive, insulting, discriminatory, sexual, violent, harassing or illegal is prohibited.
Any user posting such content, or otherwise abusing other users, will have their content removed and their access terminated, without notice.
This applies to every element you make visible to another user, including duel nicknames, challenge titles, messages and any free text field.
5. Reporting content and moderation
Any user can report content or behaviour that breaches these terms, either from the report function inside the app, or by writing to contact@kekoz.ch.
We commit to reviewing every report and acting on it within 24 hours. Action may consist of removing the content, suspending the account or terminating access, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.
You can also block another user directly from the app. A blocked user can no longer challenge you or make content visible to you.
6. KEKOZ Coach
KEKOZ Coach provides motivational coaching. Its messages are generated by an artificial intelligence model.
KEKOZ Coach does not provide medical, psychological, nutritional, legal or financial advice. Its messages are not a diagnosis, not a treatment and not a recommendation from a qualified professional.
Because its content is generated automatically, it may be inaccurate, inappropriate or unsuited to your situation. Use your own judgement. For any health question, consult a healthcare professional. For any financial question, consult a qualified adviser.
If you are in distress, contact a doctor or an emergency service in your country. KEKOZ is not an emergency service.
7. Your use of the app
You undertake not to: use KEKOZ for any unlawful purpose, attempt to gain unauthorised access to our servers, disrupt the service, falsify your scores or results in order to deceive another user, extract our content by automated means, or impersonate someone else.
You are responsible for the data you keep on your device. Since KEKOZ stores your information locally, we cannot restore it if you lose your device or clear your data.
8. Strava integration
The Strava connection is optional and governed by Strava’s own terms of use. Kani Summit is not responsible for the availability, the accuracy or the operation of Strava’s services. You can revoke access at any time from your Strava account.
9. Intellectual property
The name KEKOZ, the logo, the interface, the texts and the graphic elements are the property of Kani Summit. You are granted a personal, non exclusive, non transferable licence to use the app for your own purposes. Any other use requires our written consent.
The content you create stays yours. By making it visible to other users, you grant us the right to display it within the app.
10. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend or discontinue all or part of the app at any time, including its free nature. We will do our best to give reasonable notice, without being contractually bound to do so.
11. Disclaimer of warranty
KEKOZ is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, free of errors, free of security flaws, or that it will produce any particular result in terms of habits, health, performance or wellbeing.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Kani Summit, its committee members and its volunteers cannot be held liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damage arising from the use or the inability to use KEKOZ, including loss of data, loss of profit, physical injury linked to a sporting activity, or any decision taken on the basis of a KEKOZ Coach message.
Total liability, in any event, is limited to the amount you have paid to use the app, that is zero for free use.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, in particular in the event of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
13. Termination
You may stop using KEKOZ at any time by deleting the app. We may terminate your access immediately in the event of a breach of these terms, in particular the clause in section 4.
14. Changes to these terms
Any substantial change will be announced in the app and on kekoz.ch, with a new version number. Continuing to use the app after that announcement constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Swiss law. Place of jurisdiction is Nyon, canton of Vaud, Switzerland.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, this clause does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, nor of the right to bring proceedings before the courts of that country.
